“Kivach” is a famous nature reserve located in 65 km from Petrozavodsk. It is named by a 10.7-m-high cascade waterfall, situated on the Suna River. The power and height of the waterfall is astonishing, especially when the water level is higher than usual. The reserve keeps almost fifty species of mammals, more than 150 species of birds, 18 species of fishes and also features many species of vascular plants.
